Please form three groups. Each group will have its own task adition everyone should do one special task. Please read your tasks carefully.
Group 1
Find ways of intercity travelling in the USA and find out specific advantages and disadvantages of these means of transportation. Present a specific Amtrak route of your choice.
Group 2
Round and about New York. What are the best ways to move around the biggest city of the USA and what sights can you see there? What do New Yorkers say about travelling?
Group 3
Find some political statements on the topic of public transportation and try to recreate the current public discussion in the classroom.
All Groups:
Prepare group presentations. You can use software such as Microsoft Power Point for your presentation but you do not have to. Try to have something visual for the others but also think about how to make your presentation exciting and try to involve the other students in the presentation by for example leading a discussion about your topic.
Individually:
Start planning a vacation to the USA. Where would you want to go and what would you want to see? What are the best means of transportation for your trip and why? Write a short essay. Take the information from the other groups’ presentations into account.
